HOME - PERIPHERAL STRUCTURE
The services of the ITCG are available along the 8000 km of national coastline, through the following Peripheral Commands (*):
- 15 Maritime Directions;
- 1 Maritime Authority of the Messina Strait;
- 52 Capitanerie di Porto;
- 45 Maritime District Offices;
- 136 Local Maritime Offices;
- 46 Beach Delegations.
Moreover the following services are also part of the ITCG:
- the air-sea component;
- the COSPAS/SARSAT satellite station of Bari (in synergy with the Civil Protection Department);
- the 4 Divers Groups (San Benedetto del Tronto, Naples, Messina and Cagliari);
- the Coast Guard Marine Environmental Division by the Ministry for the Environment;
- the Coast Guard Fishing Division by the Ministry of Agriculture.
